چکیده
A man suffered severe hypotension down to 20~30 mmHg when he received a surgical remove of glioma. This hypotension was hard to treat with many ways due to the blood pressure did not show any response to many vasoconstrictors, such as: adrenaline, norepinephrine, dopamine, and Aramine etc. A rapid injection of lidocaine 200 mg from right femoral vessel showed an efficient effect on promoting blood pressure when combined with other vasoconstrictors.

Cardiovascular Effect of Dorsal Periaqueductal Gray During Lipopolysaccharide-induced Hypotension
Introduction: The central mechanism related to the cardiovascular response to lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced hypotension is not entirely known, but it is suggested that numerous brain areas such as dorsal periaqueductal gray (dPAG) are involved in this process. In the current work, the cardiovascular effect of the dPAG during LPS-induced hypotension is investigated. Methods: The study animal...

Background: Most of cesarean deliveries are performed with regional anesthesia especially spinal anesthesia (SA). Disadvantages of SA include maternal hypotension and fetal asphyxia. This study was conducted to find prophylactic strategies for prevention of maternal hypotension in the women who were candidate for cesarean in Rasht Azzahra Hospital in 2001. Materials and Methods: This study was ...
متن کاملSuccessful steroid treatment of coma induced by severe spontaneous intracranial hypotension
Spontaneous intracranial hypotension (SIH) is a syndrome characterized by low cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) pressure and postural headaches. It is a rare condition which may sometimes present with severe symptoms such as stupor or coma. The standard treatment protocol includes conservative measures such as bed rest, hydration, and steroids. However, severe cases may require invasive measures such a...
متن کاملAcute Otitis Media-Induced Gradenigo Syndrome, a Dramatic Response to Intravenous Antibiotic
Introduction: Petrositis is a rare but severe complication of acute otitis media and mastoiditis. Despite efficient antibiotic therapy, there are still reports of both intratemporal and intracranial complications of otitis media with the potential risk of high morbidity and mortality. Petrositis has traditionally been treated with surgery, but recent advances in imaging, with improved antibioti...
متن کاملSpontaneous Intracranial Hypotension Plus Cerebral Venous Thrombosis: A Case Report Study
This is a case study of a 34-year-old woman who was admitted to hospital with a history of severe orthostatic headache. She was diagnosed as having spontaneous intracranial hypotension (SIH) by undetectable cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) pressure at lumbar puncture, and with evidence of diffuse dural enhancement of the brain detected by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). However, the contrast-enhance...
